Bread truck driver dies one week after accident

The driver of the Bakewell Truck which  was involved in a head on collision with a Banks DIH truck on the West Berbice Highway on September 25th last died at the Georgetown Hospital Thursday night.

Navendra Arjune 38 of Non Pareil  East Coast Demerara is survived by his wife and two children aged eight and four.
An acquaintance last night said that the injured man had been taken to a private Hospital shortly  after the accident on September 25th last.
“They did a COVID 19 test on him and said that he was positive and they could not treat him,” he said.

“So we took him to the Georgetown Hospital where they tested him and apparently put him in isolation. We couldn’t get to see him.We heard of his death around 2100 hrs on Thursday night.ospital BHH
Relatives were up to last night unclear as to what would have caused his demise.(END).
