BV man found dead in trench

Police are investigating the death of Lester Waldron called “Redman” of Republic Drive Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara whose body was found in a trench near his home Tuesday afternoon.

Police in a report stated that enquiries disclosed that Waldron is an alcoholic and was last  seen walking on the said road consuming alcohol from a bottle. The trench is located on the western side of the road. His body was found lying face up in the trench. It  was examined for marks of  violence but none was seen.

Police later escorted the body to the Georgetown Public Hospital where it was pronounced dead then escorted to  the Lyken Funeral Home awaiting autopsy.
