Police said in a release that they were conducting an anti-crime patrol in Montrose, East Coast Demerara when they observed a blue CRV motor vehicle parked at the Montrose Seawall.

As they approached, an unidentifiable male ran into the mangroves and escaped.

The vehicle was checked and two bags were discovered.

The vehicle and suspected narcotic was taken to the Sparendaam Police Station where it was processed  for latent fingerprints but none was found. The suspected narcotic was weighed and it amounted to 112.75 pounds.

No arrest made.

Investigations are ongoing.
