20-year-old Onderneeming man shot in front of his home

A 20-year-old Onderneeming man is currently nursing a gunshot injury to his back following an execution attempt on his life.
The injured man has been identified as Brad De Silva, a labourer, who resides at Onderneeming Sand Pit, on the Essequibo Coast, Region Two.

The police, in a statement, said that the labour was shot in front of his home on Sunday at around 20:30hrs by an individual, who was dressed in a hoodie and a face mask.

“Investigations revealed that on the said date and time mentioned above the victim was about to enter his yard when he heard three (3) gun shots and he started to feel pain to his back. The victim turned around and he saw someone standing about 15 feet away wearing a dark coloured hoodie and a face mask and was about 6 feet tall and slim built,” the police reported.

According to the victim, the person then ran into the bushes and escaped
The police, while noting that the suspect is on the run, assured that investigations are ongoing.
