The real name and address of the victim is also unknown. The release described the person as about five feet six inches tall, medium built, age between 50 to 55, and was wearing a black three quarter pants, no top, with a funky dread hair style.

Enquiries disclosed that it was alleged by persons who were at the scene, that the pedestrian was walking south along the western side of the said road when they heard a loud sound on the road, and as a result they ran out from their yard and saw a motor vehicle speeding away in a northern direction with its lights off and the area dark, they then ran toward the pedestrian and saw him lying on the western parpet with what appeared to be blood  on his head in an unconscious condition.

The pedestrian was then picked up by the police and public spirited citizens and and placed into private minibus in an unconscious condition and escorted to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, East Bank Demerara, where he was seen and examined by a Doctor on duty and died whilst receiving treatment.

The body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlor and is awaiting Port Mortem Examination.
