WCB man goes on $575,000 bail for fatal-hit-and-run accident at Enmore

A West Coast Berbice man was on Tuesday charged with causing death by dangerous driving for the hit- and-run fatal accident committed on Sheldon Major ,16yrs of 76 Enmore North , East Coast Demerara last week.

Steven Pierre,28 of 26 Seafield Village, WCB, and driver of motor car # PLL 7855 was charged with: Causing death by dangerous driving; fail to report an accident; failing to render assistance and failing to stop after an accident.

He appeared at the Cove & John Magistrate’s Court before Her Worship Fabyo Azore, pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and was placed on a total of $575,000 bail. The case has been postponed to 2020-07-14 for report and fixture.
