Waiting for Care While Guyana Prepares to Welcome More Foreigners

Dear Editor,

Within hours of the 500 lives taking hospital blast, the Pro-Israel Americans, rushed out to report that based on their intelligence, the explosion wasn’t caused by an indiscriminately bombing Israel missile. Then even before we could’ve digested the said disinformation, they spewed more in boasting, their intelligence is beyond reproach, the creme de la creme, the best in the world. Thus, this most germane of question—Wasn’t it this very American intelligence, that lied to the world, President Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, which were capable of ending the world in minutes? And Mr. Editor, didn’t the West once characterised the ANC, a terrorist organisation. As a matter of fact, Mr. Editor didn’t they labelled Nelson Mandela a dangerous terrorist, for fighting against Apartheid?

For this missive should serve to open eyes. That is, the West through their propaganda media, will instruct on what to think. What not to think. What to read. What not to read. What to watch. What not to watch. Who to be afraid of. Who to trust. Who to love. Who to hate. Who is a friend. Who is a fiend.

Thus, my message. Don’t be mental slaves. Define your truth. This conflict didn’t start on 7th October 2023. In fact, it dates back to 1920 with the British. Yes, the British! The British that abandoned the Palestinian Jews and Arabs, to fight to their deaths.

All Lives matter. Palestine Lives Matter. Thus, my prayer—Their Apartheid will soon see an end, like that of South Africa.

Yours truly,

Dr. Mark Devonish MBBS MSc MRCP(UK) FRCP(Edin) FRCP
