On this momentous occasion of Guyana’s 55th Republic Day, The Institute for Action Against Discrimination (IFAAD) proudly joins the nation in celebrating more than five decades of being a Republic, resilient, and continuing the work for self-determination.

As we reflect on our journey, we honour the sacrifices of those who paved the way for a free and united Guyana. Our nation stands as a beacon of diversity, strength, and determination, embracing people of all backgrounds and cultures. This Republic Day, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values of equality, justice, and inclusivity for all Guyanese.

The Institute for Action Against Discrimination continues to advocate for a society where every citizen is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, gender,  social or political status. Our collective strength lies in our ability to stand together against injustice, ensuring that our beloved nation remains a place of opportunity, fairness, and unity.

As we celebrate 55 years of republican status, let us move forward with renewed dedication to building a Guyana that truly embodies the principles of freedom and equality. May our unity continue to be our strength, and may the spirit of Republic Day inspire us all to work towards a brighter and more inclusive future.

Happy Republic Day, Guyana!
