Police late Wednesday issued a wanted bulletin for the arrest of Julian Arthur, a resident of Sophia, Greater Georgetown who attempted to kill his girlfriend.

Police said Arthur is wanted in relation to attempted murder committed on Devilin Garraway on July 1st, 2020 at Union # 30 Village, West Coast Berbice. Garraway is currently battling for her life after being shot in the face Wednesday morning. The incident occurred in her home at # 30 Village WCB around 09:30hrs.

It is alleged that the woman had ended the relationship with Arthur earlier in the week. He however, showed up at her home Wednesday morning at which time there were arguments. He was subsequently seen fleeing the yard after shooting the woman. Garraway was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital and then transferred to the New Amsterdam Hospital.
Police in the wanted bulletin said anyone with information that may lead to the arrest Arthur is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 333-2151, 333-5564, 333-3876, 226-6978, 225-8196, 226-2870, 226-7065, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
