According to the police report, at around 23:30hrs on April 2, 2022, ranks in Region 10 were conducting mobile patrol duties when they saw two men conserving on a bridge at Sunflower Street, Wismar, Linden.

Bourne, who was reportedly sitting on a black electric scooter, attempted to drop his scooter and run through the street while the other male dropped a haversack he was carrying and made good his escape.

Bourne attempted to throw away a  transparent plastic which was in his hand but failed to do so. “The ranks took possession of the transparent plastic bag which was examined in his presence and same contained several orange and grey tablet-like substances with the markings of a skull and the word “Fanta” on then – suspected to be Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA or ‘Ecstasy’).

He was told of the ranks suspicion and the offence committed, cautioned and he replied saying “What y’all can do for me, I buy these ecstacy to turn over from that man y’all see run away. Things tight with me, what y’all can do for me”.

He was then arrested and escorted to the Mackenzie Police Station where the suspected Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA or ‘Ecstasy’) was weighed in his presence and amounted to 30 grams.

The matter has been adjourned until 2022-05-03
