Gushing from me not water and jelly,

THE DANGER OF A SINGLE VIEW

But bloody Xs upon my black husk.

The value of my life, a coconut?

I went to search and find,

Yet for me they’ll search and find

And find me dropped and marked a sign.

My life was not a coconut.

I wasn’t sweet to my vendor,

There was nothing about me he enjoyed.

Discarding, not a coconut but just another black boy.
