Jealous husband beats, stabs man seen with wife

A 50-year-old man is nursing a stab wound and bodily harm, inflicted on him by on 34-year-old jealous husband at Inner Bagotville, West Bank Demerara on Sunday evening.

Reports disclosed that the victim, Ron Moore, was seated on a bench with the suspect’s wife, when the suspect returned home and became  annoyed seeing his wife in company with the suspect. This resulted in a heated argument between them.

The suspect then dealt Moore several lashes about his body with a metal pipe, then stabbed him to his left lower abdomen.

The injured man was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital by a family member, where he was seen and admitted a patient by a doctor on duty.  His condition is regarded as stable.

The suspect was arrested and is presently in custody pending further investigations.

Enquiries are continuing.
