President Irfaan Ali arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for Tuesday’s National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The President, who left Guyana on Saturday morning, was welcomed by a high-level Government delegation in the UAE city, the Office of the President said.

At Tuesday’s National Day celebration, Guyana’s culture and customs would be on full display at a pavilion dedicated to showcasing the country’s natural beauty and economic opportunities.

First Lady, Arya Ali; along with Senior Minister in the Office of the President with responsibilities for Finance, Dr Ashni Singh; Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, the Oneidge Walrond; Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, the Charles Ramson Jr and other officials are also in Dubai.

The worldwide expo was originally scheduled for last year but was postponed to October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
