Passenger injured after drunk driver crashes car into tree at Mabaruma

A man is in serious condition at the Mabaruma Regional Hospital after the car he was in crashed into a tree on the Wanina Public Road, Mabaruma, North West District on Sunday.

Injured is Edgar Adams, age 54 yrs of Hosororo, N.W.D.

Police in a release said that the motorcar # PNN 1366, a white Toyota wagon is owned and was being driven by Mitchell Debideen, age, 37 yrs of Hosororo Hill, N.W.D.
Adams was a passenger.

Enquiries disclosed that motorcar PNN 1366 was proceeding west along the Wanina Public Road, when the driver – who was under the influence of alcohol lost control of the said vehicle, which ran off the southern side of the road and collided with a tree.

As a result of the collision the occupant Adams sustained injuries to his head.
