The Perth Scorchers have named a 14-player squad featuring international stars from five countries for their debut appearance in the 2026 ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League, which bowls off in Guyana later this month.
The tournament, scheduled for July 23 to August 1 at the Providence Stadium, will mark the first time the Australian franchise has competed in the Global Super League.
Three-time Big Bash League title-winning captain Ashton Turner will lead the side, which includes several members of Perth’s championship-winning squad from the most recent Big Bash League season.
Among them are Aaron Hardie, Jhye Richardson, Ashton Agar, Joel Curtis and Sam Fanning.
The Scorchers have also strengthened their squad with experienced international players, including Mark Chapman of New Zealand, West Indies duo Ackeem Auguste and Akeal Hosein, South African batter Dian Forrester, and Pakistan pair Usman Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem.
Former Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes batter D’Arcy Short is also included and is set to make his first appearance in Perth colours.
The Scorchers XI will be coached by former Australian international Simon Katich, who will serve as stand-in head coach while regular coach Adam Voges fulfils coaching duties with the Trent Rockets in England’s The Hundred competition.
Perth opens its Global Super League campaign against Lahore Qalandars on July 23, with all matches in the six-team tournament to be played at Providence Stadium, home of the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The Global Super League brings together champion clubs and representative teams from leading T20 competitions around the world, with the 2026 edition marking the second staging of the tournament in Guyana.
