The Institute for Action Against Discrimination (IFAAD) has issued a New Year message urging citizens, institutions, and public officials to renew their commitment to justice, fairness, and human rights as 2026 begins.
“As we welcome the New Year 2026, the Institute for Action Against Discrimination extends heartfelt wishes for peace, dignity, and equal opportunity for all,” the statement said.
IFAAD emphasised that discrimination of any form—whether based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, political belief, disability, or social status—has no place in a democratic and inclusive society. “We reaffirm our resolve to stand firmly against all forms of discrimination and to advocate for policies, institutions, and practices that uphold equality before the law,” the Institute stated.
The organisation called on citizens, civil society, public officials, and private institutions to promote tolerance, accountability, and social cohesion. “Progress is strongest when every voice is valued and when differences are respected as strengths, not divisions,” IFAAD said.
The Institute concluded its message with a call for action and reflection: “May this New Year inspire courage to speak out against injustice, compassion to support the vulnerable, and unity to build a society where every person can live free from fear and prejudice.”
IFAAD extended its best wishes for 2026, hoping for “a New Year filled with hope, justice, and shared prosperity.”
