According to reports, the suspects and Jack’s reputed husband have an ongoing feud and on the aforementioned date at about 12:00h, the victim had taken the black Lenovo laptop valued $70,000 to a friend’s home to charge.

At about 18:00h, she was walking home with the laptop in a black haversack. She met her reputed husband on the journey and handed the haversack to him.

The man then “placed the haversack on his back and they continued their journey”.

“It was at this time the suspects attacked the victims with a metal pipe hitting the husband repeatedly with the said pipe, after the ordeal was finished the victims checked the laptop and discovered the screen had been broken,” Police said in a statement.

Investigations are continuing.
