Scores of Venezuelans granted National ID Cards, will vote in Guyana’s Elections

Dear Editor,

A source which I consider reliable claims that from Freedom House, scores of Venezuelans citizens who entered Guyana illegally through our rather porous borders are facilitated with so-called Late Registration, and therefore being granted National Identification Cards, and therefore will be registered as Guyanese citizens and are entitled to vote.

The absurdity of this process is patent

This is not a simple matter. With Elections a few months away,  the independent media, concerned citizens and patriots should have this matter fully pursued.  In the present environment, we can place little faith in the state agencies that should and could investigate this matter.
