Man charged with aggravated robbery on Venezuelan national

A 21-year-old man was on January 5, 2021 charged with robbery with aggravation on Venezuelan national Ricky Menque on January 3, 2021 at Cornell Street, Georgetown.

Menque was robbed by three identifiable males of a Samsung smartphone and $25,000 near Demico House, Stabroek.

Meanwhile, Clive Field also known as Anthony Prince, a self-employed man of Tucville, Georgetown who was arrested on January 3, 2021 appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court No. 1 before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennon where he pleaded not guilty.

Field was placed on $30,000 bail on the condition that he reports weekly to the Brickdam Police Station.

Police in an initial report said that Menque had exited a minibus and was walking on the pavement in the vicinity of Demico House when three males who were walking in the opposite direction pounced on him and relieved him of his phone and money.
