On this Labour Day, the in
stitute for Action Against Discrimination (IFAAD) extends sincere recognition and appreciation to all workers for their invaluable contribution to the growth and development of Guyana. Our nation is built on the strength, dedication, and resilience of its working people.
We reaffirm our firm position that Guyanese workers must be respected, valued, and treated with dignity. It is our collective responsibility to stand up for the rights of our own Guyanese workforce, to ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and equal opportunities across all sectors.
IFAAD remains committed to advocating for justice, equity, and strong labour protections. As Guyana continues to develop, progress must never come at the expense of its people. We must fight for policies and practices that put Guyanese workers first and uphold their fundamental rights.
Happy Labour Day. Let us continue to work together in solidarity for a fairer and more inclusive Guyana.
