Decomposed body of man found at Kara Kara

Police are investigating the death of a vagrant whose decomposing body was found in an abandoned and dilapidated building at Kara Kara, McKenzie, Linden (Region Ten) on Wednesday.
According to Police, the man is of East Indian descent has been referred to as Ziek by some members of the community. Reports are that the man was seen around Kara Kara during the past year and would be employed by residents as a handyman.

A resident of Accabre Drive, Kara Kara, mentioned that the man had visited her home on Christmas Eve to do some handiwork but left after complaining of feeling unwell.

She said that between December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021 a stench began emanating through the area but she and other residents assumed an animal had died. However, on January 6, 2021, “the stench became stronger and they decided to follow the stench which led to the discovery of the deceased body lying in a flat wooden dilapidated and abandon building on the corner of the street”.
Police visited the scene and discovered the body which was clad only in a black jersey. They combed the area for anything evidential but were unsuccessful.

The deceased’s body is currently at Wismar Hospital Mortuary awaiting identification and Post Mortem Examination.
