Two arrested for allegedly assaulting construction worker

Two Spanish speaking men have been arrested for assaulting a North East La Penitence, Georgetown, construction worker on January 3, 2020 at Matthew’s Ridge, Region One.

The victim, 43-year-old Vindon Nurse was reportedly on his bed at the Matthew’s Ridge Primary School which is currently being constructed when he observed the two suspects, a 21-year-old and a 29-year-old, who were working at the said location having a violent altercation.

In a bid to keep the peace, Nurse approached the duo. He was beaten until he became unconscious. Nurse was taken to the Pakera District Hospital where he was admitted.
The duo is assisting police with their investigation.
