As a survivor of sexual abuse, Smith faced numerous challenges in her personal life and studies. But through God, she discovered that anything is possible! “He surrounded me with supportive people who guided me out of the darkness. I overcame those challenges through prayer and fasting and emerged stronger than ever,” Smith added.
Smith’s advice to youth is simple: “Trust God, put your faith in Him, and He will lead you through any trial. As Psalm 34:18 reminds us: ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ Being a victim of sexual abuse does not define your identity. You are more than enough.”
