No. 75 Regional Hospital to be ready second half of 2025- Minister Anthony

The state-of-the-art regional hospital under construction at Number 75 Village, Corentyne, Region Six is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2025.

The timeline was disclosed by Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, during a site inspection Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Government said upon completion, the hospital’s top floor will have two operating theatres, a minor theatre, a delivery ward, and a 75-bed inpatient facility.

The lower floor will feature a 24-hour Accident and Emergency Unit.

Also promised is an imaging suite equipped with a CT scan, digital X-rays, and ultrasound. 24-hour laboratory service is also expected to be available.

The No. 75 Hospital will replace Skeldon hospital and is expected to serve about 40,000 individuals who live in that section in the region.

The hospital is being constructed by Sinopharm.
