Lima Sands man charged with possession of counterfeit notes

43-year-old labourer in Guyana has been charged with ‘Possession of Forged Currency Note’.

The police disclosed that Anand Alphonso, also known as ‘Dolo’, a resident of the Lima Housing Scheme, was arrested on Tuesday at his home.

Court Dismisses Cybercrime Charges Against Bryan Max

The following day, the case was heard at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, presided over by Magistrate Tamieka Clarke.

During the court proceedings, the charge was read to the accused, and Alphonso pleaded not guilty.

However, the prosecutor objected to the granting of bail, and as a result, the defendant was remanded to prison.

The case has been adjourned to August 27. (Loop News)
