The West Indies will begin a major white-ball assignment against India on Sunday, September 27, when the teams meet in the first of three One-Day Internationals in Thiruvananthapuram.
The ODI series is the opening leg of an eight-match tour that also includes five T20 internationals, with the West Indies led by Shai Hope in both formats.
The first ODI is scheduled for September 27, followed by matches in Guwahati on September 30 and New Chandigarh on October 3. The T20 series begins October 6.
The West Indies ODI squad includes Hope, Jewel Andrew, John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Amir Jangoo, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Vitel Lawes, Gudakesh Motie, Keemo Paul, Sherfane Rutherford and Jayden Seales.
India will be captained by Shubman Gill, with veteran stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma included in the ODI squad.
The return of Kohli and Rohit adds considerable attention to the series as India prepares for the 2027 World Cup.
For the West Indies, the series provides an opportunity to test their ODI combination against one of international cricket’s leading teams while building toward future major competitions.
