The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), a major component of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), has congratulated Guyanese students who successfully completed the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations, while urging them to build on their achievements as they prepare for the next stage of their lives.
In a message following the release of the CSEC results on Tuesday, the PNCR-APNU praised students for the discipline, dedication and perseverance they demonstrated throughout their secondary education.
The party also recognised the contribution of parents, teachers and communities, whose support it said was instrumental in helping students reach this milestone.
“Your success is a testament not only to your individual hard work but also to the unwavering support of your families, teachers, and communities who have stood beside you throughout this journey,” the PNCR-APNU said.
However, the party cautioned students against viewing their examination results as the final destination, describing the achievement as only one chapter in a broader educational and professional journey.
It encouraged graduates to pursue opportunities in higher education, technical and vocational training, or the workforce, depending on their interests and aspirations.
The PNCR-APNU said it remains committed to working with young Guyanese and supporting their development, arguing that the progress of the country is closely tied to the opportunities available to its younger generation.
“We believe that when our young people thrive, our nation thrives,” the party stated.
The message comes as students across Guyana assess their CSEC results and consider their next steps, including sixth-form studies, tertiary education, technical and vocational programmes, and employment.
CSEC, administered by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), remains a key regional qualification for secondary school students and provides pathways to further education, skills training and employment.
The PNCR-APNU said the achievements of successful candidates should therefore be viewed not only as personal accomplishments but also as an important investment in Guyana’s future.
The party urged students to continue striving for excellence and pledged to “partner” with them in pursuing their individual ambitions and contributing to national progress.
“Once again, congratulations on your success. The future of Guyana is brighter because of your achievement.”
The PNCR-APNU said the CSEC results should serve as a launching pad for young Guyanese to pursue their ambitions while contributing meaningfully to national development. It stressed that sustained investment in education, skills and opportunities for young people will be critical to building a more productive and prosperous Guyana, and urged graduates to approach the next stage of their journey with the same determination that brought them to this milestone.
