The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will deliver two CPL SchoolYard community initiatives over the coming weeks, bringing players together with children across the region as they prepare to return to the classroom.

CPL SchoolYard – Back to School takes place simultaneously at two venues, the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia and Sabina Park in Jamaica, on 17 August. More than 50 children will take part in fun activities and an interactive session with CPL franchise players at the two venues, and will each receive a book bag packed with back-to-school essentials to support their return to school.

BROADCAST PARTNERS CONFIRMED FOR 2026 REPUBLIC BANK CPL

The initiative continues in September with CPL SchoolYard – Take a Player to School, taking place simultaneously in Guyana and Barbados on 10 September. CPL players will visit schools in both territories to engage directly with students, sharing their personal journeys and speaking to their own path from schoolchild to professional cricketer.

In addition, CPL will be finding ways to improve Digital Literacy for young people across the Caribbean, both in stadium at matches and using the tournament’s social media channels.

Christine Charles, CPL’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “CPL SchoolYard is about more than cricket. It’s about showing young people across the Caribbean that the players they cheer for started out exactly where they are now, in a classroom, with a dream. We’re proud to help send children back to school with everything they need, and even prouder to watch our players give their time to inspire the next generation.”

As the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League continues to grow its footprint across the Caribbean, CPL SchoolYard reflects the league’s ongoing commitment to the communities that make up the CPL family, giving young fans the chance to connect directly with the players they look up to.
