The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has officially named its delegation to the XXV Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where the region celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Games. The centennial edition officially opens on 24 July 2026 and brings together the finest athletes from across Central America and the Caribbean in one of the region’s premier multi-sport events.
At a team press briefing before departure, GOA President Godfrey Munroe and Secretary General Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon congratulated the athletes and officials on earning the honour of representing Guyana and encouraged them to compete with pride, determination, and respect. They reminded the delegation that every performance on the field of play carries the hopes and aspirations of the nation.
