(CNN) Here’s the latest

• JUST IN: The US military has paused strikes on Iran, an official said, after President Donald Trump announced he’d agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Tehran. Iran’s military will coordinate passage of vessels through Hormuz during ceasefire, Iran’s foreign minister said.

Hopes for deal to end Iran war grow, but nuclear issues unresolved

• Iran’s response: Tehran claimed victory and said it forced the United States to accept its 10-point plan, including lifting of sanctions and accepting its nuclear enrichment, according to a statement from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

• Request for diplomacy: Trump said Tehran’s plan “is a workable basis on which to negotiate.” Earlier today, Pakistan’s prime minister proposed the ceasefire to allow for diplomatic negotiations between the US and Iran.
