The Institute for Action Against Discrimination (IAAD) extends warm Easter greetings to all Guyanese at home and across the diaspora.

Easter is a season that calls us to reflect on sacrifice, justice, renewal, and the enduring triumph of truth over injustice. It is a time that reminds us that even in the darkest moments, hope can rise, and change is always possible.

VPAC Says GECOM Must Reflect Guyana’s New Opposition Reality

For us at IAAD, Easter carries a profound responsibility. It urges us to confront the realities of discrimination, inequality, and exclusion that continue to affect too many in our society. Whether rooted in race, class, gender, religion, or social status, discrimination weakens the fabric of our nation and denies our people the dignity they deserve.

The message of Easter—grounded in love, compassion, and justice—compels us to stand against all forms of discrimination and to advocate for fairness, equal opportunity, and respect for every individual. It challenges us not to be silent in the face of injustice, but to act with courage and conviction.

At this sacred time, we call on all Guyanese to recommit to building a society where diversity is embraced, where differences are not used to divide, and where every citizen is treated with dignity and respect. Let us choose unity over division, equity over inequality, and justice over indifference.

Easter reminds us that transformation is possible—but it requires action. Each of us has a role to play in creating a more inclusive and just Guyana.

As we celebrate this season of renewal, may we find the strength to uplift one another, defend the vulnerable, and work collectively toward a future free from discrimination.

The Institute for Action Against Discrimination wishes you a peaceful, reflective, and hopeful Easter.
