Guyana to Host Landmark Caribbean Development Educators Program (CaribDE), March 15–21, 2026

Guyana is poised to make history as it hosts the Caribbean Development Education (CaribDE) Program from March 15–21, 2026, at the Four Points by Sheraton. The programme is being hosted by the Guyana Co-operative Credit Union League Limited, in colloboration with the Guyana Public Service Co-operative Credit Union Limited (GPSCCU), who is also sponsoring the event.

This groundbreaking initiative marks the first time the CaribDE Program will be held in Guyana, representing a significant milestone in regional education and professional development. This staging also represents the 57th session of the CaribDE Program, underscoring its long-standing contribution to leadership development across the Caribbean.

The CaribDE Program is a premier Caribbean-focused educational initiative designed to strengthen leadership capacity, promote sustainable development, and foster regional collaboration among professionals, policymakers, educators, and development practitioners. The week-long program will feature expert-led presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative discussions addressing critical development challenges and opportunities across the Caribbean and beyond.

GPSCCU is pleased to support CaribDE in bringing this landmark program to Guyana, reflecting a shared commitment to knowledge sharing, capacity building, and regional integration, while showcasing Guyana’s readiness to host high-level educational and professional events.
