KSA Jeddah Tower is racing toward the skies after years on hold, the 1-kilometer megatower resumed construction in January 2025 and is now adding a floor every 3–4 days, rapidly approaching 80 floors.
Once complete, it’s set to snatch the title of the world’s tallest building from UAE, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
Rapid Rise and Engineering Feats Cranes dominate Jeddah’s skyline as Saudi Binladin Group, Dar Al-Handasah, and Turner Construction
push the tower upward.Â
By August 2025, it had reached 75 floors , with concrete poured through high-pressure pumps and innovative “pumpcrete” technology.
The base will feature five levels of retail, dining, and event space , while the foundation itself is a marvel — a 5-meter thick concrete pad over 7,500 sqm, anchored by 270 deep bored piles reaching up to 110 meters into the bedrock.
For comparison, Burj Khalifa’s foundation uses 192 piles at around 50 meters deep.
Vision 2030 and Saudi Ambitions, The tower, led by Kingdom Holding Co, is more than a skyscraper — it’s a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and ambition to redefine its skyline. Weekly floor additions signal a fast-track push toward the 2028 completion goal, positioning Jeddah Tower as the WORLD’S FIRST 1 KM+ TOWER.
