Guyana is set to become a hub for creative technology with the launch of Artellica AI, an innovation studio founded by tech entrepreneur and Chevening alum Amrita Naraine. The firm aims to modernise how local businesses create, operate, and engage with technology, bringing robotics and smart software solutions to the country.

After completing her Master’s in Data Science and AI for Creative Industries, specialising in Creative Computing and Robotics, Naraine launched Artellica AI to support Guyana’s creative industries. What began as a mission to assist artists and cultural institutions has expanded to include advanced AI robotics, wearables, and consultancy services.

This January, Artellica AI officially became a distributor for AI robotics and wearables, providing local businesses access to advanced hardware while also leading interdisciplinary R&D projects exploring AI’s role in creative industries. The studio focuses on AI-powered software, ethical automation, and intellectual property systems, collaborating with cultural ministries, NGOs, and innovation councils to design inclusive AI governance frameworks.

“We are moving Guyana from being a consumer of technology to a regional hub for innovation. By bridging the gap between complex AI and local needs, we are empowering Guyanese talent on a global stage,” said Shakira Vieira, Marketing Executive at Artellica AI.

Artellica AI is also expanding its educational and cultural reach. The studio conducts immersive workshops to enhance digital literacy and provides AI-driven solutions for cultural archiving, preserving Guyanese traditions and artistic output while creating ethical storytelling systems for future generations.

A key component of the studio’s offerings is Biz Insights, a platform that helps small business owners manage inventory and sales securely and remotely, reducing the costs of going digital. This initiative is supported by a strategic partnership with Eridani Digital Technology, which combines engineering expertise with Artellica’s creative vision.

“Eridani Digital Technology is proud of our ongoing partnership with Artellica AI, aligning our commitment to technological innovation with their leadership in ethical Artificial Intelligence. By collaborating with Artellica, we are expanding our ability to deliver cutting-edge, scalable, and cost-effective software for creators and businesses. This partnership reinforces our mission to harness emerging technologies for sustainable and transformative impact across the digital and transdigital landscape,” said Clifford Cheefoon, Founder of Eridani.

Reflecting on Artellica AI’s future, Naraine said, “Artellica stands at the intersection of ready-to-use innovation and custom-built excellence. We offer a diverse ecosystem; while we offer ready-to-use robotics, we are equipped to produce custom, AI-powered creative technology for the Guyanese and regional market. Our result is a foundation for our creators and the business community altogether have the tools to compete, the data to grow, and the ethical framework to lead.”

Artellica AI, based in Guyana, specialises in AI research, software development, and hardware distribution. By blending high-tech hardware with accessible software solutions, the company provides smart solutions for the creative economy and wider business community, positioning itself as a primary partner for digital growth in Guyana and the region.
