The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) actively engaged residents and addressed several water-related concerns during the recent Cabinet Outreach, which was held on December 18 & 19, 2025, in Region Three (Essequibo Islands–West Demerara), led by His Excellency Mohamed Irfaan Ali.
The outreach saw Cabinet Ministers stationed across various communities within the region, providing residents with the opportunity to raise concerns, lodge complaints, and receive immediate feedback on matters affecting their daily lives. Among the key issues raised were challenges relating to water supply interruptions, leaks, and water quality.
GWI was present and responsive throughout the exercise, with technical teams addressing complaints on-site where possible and documenting issues requiring further intervention. Several matters were resolved during the outreach, while others have been scheduled for follow-up work to ensure lasting solutions.
GWI reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality and reliability of water services across Region Three and the wider country. The utility continues to work aggressively to respond to customer complaints, reduce service disruptions, repair leaks, and improve water quality through targeted technical interventions and system upgrades.
GWI encourages customers to continue reporting issues through its established communication channels, as the company remains committed to strengthening service delivery and supporting the Government of Guyana’s efforts to enhance the well-being of all citizens.
