Dear Editor,

When leader of emerging WIN party Mr. Azruddin Mohamed had officially declared, he was contesting the general elections in all ten administrative regions of the country; there was a great relief and tremendous joy in the hearts and minds of Guyanese living at home and abroad in the diaspora.

Renditions were composed by local musicians in support of the WIN party, which was heard all across the coastal towns, and indigenous communities throughout the hinterland regions. Paintings and blown-up photographs of our presidential hope, Azruddin Mohamed, were mounted alongside countless roadways, streets and buildings; on our coco-cola water tops, creating a colourful landscape from the elegance of the blue wave that was evidently fast becoming the beacon of justice.

People from all walks of life, celebrated in unity for a new movement, that have been born out of love, from a man of compassion, who saw the need to transform the lives of the poor and voiceless masses of our country. The oppressed dreamed of a healing process from the deep psychological wounds, inflicted on the people of Guyana by the wicked PPP cabal, who weaponized our races to a divide and rule system.

A glimpse of hope was already here, not too far away from the horizon, that we the people of Guyana craved for in decades to become a reality. A young and highly honoured businessman and acclaimed philanthropist will now take a lead in the fight for justice and good governance in a country where corruption is rampant among PPP/C senior government officials.

Azruddin Mohamed’s entry into local politics will definitely make a positive impact.

The incumbent PPP/C government immediately went into panic mode, as they were all afraid and well aware that Azruddin Mohamed was capable enough of breaking through their formidable support bases and APNU strongholds of the country.

His smart move with much of the likes of a grand master had already put the PPP/C on notice with a surmountable task of defending their constituencies, that would have had them initially scrambling for an emergency meeting at Freedom House, until the dawn of the new day.

Panic mode was evident among the entire PPP/C cabinet throughout the night. Exhaustion, fatigue and political insecurity from their increased adrenaline flow, had taken toll on their feelings that their corrupt empire will soon be dismantled.

However, whatever was planned by the PPP/C at Freedom House on their nervous night, was demonstrated throughout the campaign trail.

Fear-mongering was high on the agenda, while the PPP/C stooped to their lowest ebb of rock bottom and at any cost to defame the Mohamed’s dynasty.

Drugs murder, money laundering, trumped up accusations and even rape of an indigenous girl was designed and fashioned to fabricate criminal charges against the young and aspiring politician.

But that just didn’t work and Azruddin Mohamed stood up strong to his ad and with resilience to face every moment of threats from the abuse of power  directed to the state’s law enforcement agencies. A story reminiscence of the

the holy books, when David stood up to the philistines army and defeated the nine feet tall giant, Goliath, who he struck with one stone to defeat him in his well armoured brass out-fitted battle gear.

It was one man on the political battle field who had challenged the incumbent PPP/C government, that had over fifty billion dollars approved in parliament, prior to the 2025 general elections campaign. While leader of the opposition

Aubrey Norton, failed to find a consensus with the AFC and he paid exorbitantly for his carelessness, Azruddin Mohamed subsequently became the PPP/C number one enemy in the political campaign process of a democratic country.

Yours truly,
Mark Anthony Rodrigues
