Charlene passed away in Trinidad and Tobago, her home for a number of years.

Charlene started her media stint in Guyana in the early 2000s at the Guyana Chronicle. She later worked at Stabroek News and Kaieteur News before migrating to Trinidad. In Trinidad Charlene worked with CCN TV 6 and CNC3 and later as Government and Communication Specialist with several ministries over the years.

Charlene was open about her struggle with depression and documented her journey in 2024 in an article.
