Even the satanic Lucifer of notoriously devilish acts, would be shocked with the many Irfaan Ali’s corruption scandals, which inevitably, had him registering 19 criminal charges. For the sordid record of this most disreputable man, counts not only stunning financial irregularities, but also conspicuously blatant academic fraud. In fact, this unashamed creature of Bharrat Jagdeo, who corruptly amassed unexplained wealth, should’ve been locked away in state prison rather than state house.

But inexplicably that isn’t the case, even as Irfaan Ali, boasting disgustingly bloated body as bank accounts, was publicly displaying close ties with murder accused, Azruddin Mohamed. And considering Azruddin Mohamed was intricately linked with the PPP aligned Irfaan Ali, unsurprisingly murder wasn’t his only alleged criminality. For the Mohamed Enterprise, a business entity registering father and son, along with PPP affiliated Permanent Secretary, Mae Thomas Toussaint, were duly sanctioned by the Americans for corruption.

And the corruption allegations agonising this threesome are, the Mohameds through likely PPP directed under-declarations, evaded taxes on gold exports. Moreover, as per this shocking American exposé, the Mohameds between 2019 and 2023, omitted in excess of 10,000KG of gold declarations, surreptitiously denying the state more than US$50M in taxes.

Then, already facing a litany of damning allegations, the Mohameds were to be further burdened with accusations of bribing custom officials, to facilitate illicit gold shipments, through falsification of import and export records. Finally, to ensure the unimpeded movement of currency and other illegalities, it’s also claimed that the Mohameds bribed innumerable corrupt PPP government officials.

However, despite America’s damning exposé, PPP and the Mohameds remained hand in glove, of undying political love, consummated with countless millions donated to Freedom House coffers. But this blasphemous union was to soon experience a rocky road, akin to the concussion highway, when the self-assured Azruddin Mohamed expressed his political ambitions.

And it was through this unwelcomed announcement, the Mohameds transitioned friend to fiend, with the now vexatious PPP unleashing their ferocious dogs of war, the GRA. Then, GRA slavish to PPP retribution black book, sought to hit Azruddin where it hurts, alleging under-invoicing of his multifarious luxury vehicles, and in so doing, defrauding the state.

Nonetheless, even with the multifarious luxury vehicles in reach, GRA set sight on the ebony-black Lamborghini, claiming Azruddin owes taxes of $371,775,168, for declaring the US$695,000 status vehicle, at a measly US$75,000.

Having said that, it was the dreadlocked Bob Marley, who in his 1976 smash hit, who the cap fits, asserted with much forethought, only your best friend knows your secrets. And Azruddin, with the PPP aligned GRA snapping at his heels, set out to prove this true, in threatening the unthinkable, exposing the seedy secrets of his best friend; the corruptible Irfaan Ali.

Which means, Azruddin adopting the persona of a neighbourhood parrot, set out revealing much, alleging Irfaan Ali et al were aware of his GRA challenges, so much so, assisting in having it sorted, through a quid pro quo arrangement. Then, the boneheaded Irfaan Ali, cognisant that parrot Azruddin has an evidentiary dossier, rather than keeping it zipped, challenged him to publicly provide proof.

Thus, taking up the university dropout’s challenge, parrot Azruddin in irreversible echolalia mode, exposed a series of hot potato WhatsApp messages. And with the scorching WhatsApp messages in the public domain, the brainless Mohammed Irfaan Ali, with back against the proverbial ropes, tried his namesake rope-a-dope, in unashamedly claiming selective amnesia. However, his claim of selective amnesia failed to hold water, compelling the Uitvlugt alumnus to unbelievably assert, his phone number is more publicly widespread than that of PPP corruption.

That being said, not even Nostradamus, the reputed French Seer, could’ve foreseen a breakdown in the Mohameds and PPP, watertight Su-like political union. In fact, so ironclad was this sordid romance, that the Mohameds desperate to protect their man, the university dropout, provided him an armoured vehicle. And with the university dropout the recipient of an armoured vehicle, compounded by these concerning allegations, mean we the plebeians enduring PPP pervasive corruption, demand an independent investigation.
