Forensic Attorney Dr. Dexter Todd Takes Over Legal Battle for Justice in Adriana Younge Case

Georgetown, Guyana — In a major development that could reshape the course of the Adriana Younge investigation, renowned forensic specialist and criminal attorney Dr. Dexter Todd has officially taken the reins as lead counsel for the grieving Younge family.

The appointment of Dr. Todd marks a potentially transformative shift in the legal pursuit of justice for 11-year-old Adriana, whose tragic death in the pool of a Tuschen hotel has sparked national outrage and international concern. The case has been plagued by police missteps, conflicting reports, and what many critics describe as a dangerously flawed investigation.

Dr. Todd brings a rare combination of legal prowess and forensic expertise to the case. He is expected to zero in on the procedural inconsistencies, challenge the initial autopsy findings, and demand answers about the mishandling of evidence and the questionable chain of custody. His partnership with attorney Darren Wade suggests that the family’s legal strategy will now be sharper, more technical, and far more aggressive.

Adriana was reported missing on April 23, 2025. Days later, her lifeless body was discovered in the pool of a prominent hotel on the East Bank of Essequibo. Almost immediately, Guyana Police Force officials claimed she had left the hotel; an assertion later disproven by CCTV footage. The contradiction, along with the decision to place several officers on administrative leave, only deepened public mistrust.

The damage to public confidence in the police force has been significant. Many believe the initial investigation was not only sloppy but deliberately misleading. Misinformation, premature conclusions, and an apparent reluctance to treat the case with urgency have led to growing calls for international oversight and an independent investigation.

With Dr. Todd now at the helm, the family and the public alike are hoping for a renewed, credible push for accountability. His entry signals that this case is far from closed. In fact, it may just be entering a new, more serious phase, one in which forensic science, legal rigor, and public scrutiny converge in the fight for justice for Adriana Younge.

As pressure builds both locally and abroad, all eyes remain on this case, now one of the most explosive and consequential in Guyana’s recent history.
