THE ARTICLE’S MAIN GOAL IS TO DISPARAGE MY REPUTATION

Dear Editor,

I would like to respond to an article titled “Lamaha Park Resident Belongings Destroyed in Alleged Unlawful Eviction” that was posted on an obscured internet domain. I firmly believe that the article’s main goal is to disparage my reputation. In actuality, my research showed that this internet propaganda group supports the ruling regime.

WIN’s First Anniversary Sparks Reflection on Mohamed’s Political Rise

Regarding the story, I would like to mention that in the first quarter of 2024, Mr. Oswin Rickett occupied Lot 4, Block F La Penitence, also known as Lamaha Park, on illegal grounds. As the owner’s legal representative, I asked the squatter to leave the land granted to my relative (transport number 1727/2021) on November 8, 2021. He flatly refused.

Later, in October 2024, Rickett and I got into a heated argument. After being reported to the Police at La Penitence Station, he was placed under arrest. One of my relatives asked me to remove all outstanding accusations against him, so I did. Mr. Rickett visited Minister Kwame McCoy’s office and reported that I was evicting him from his property. Oddly enough, I gave all the information when one of the minister’s staff members called to inquire.

Importantly, all information about the land parcel is available at the Central Housing and Planning Authority and Deeds Registry. Unfortunately, the author of the piece is not interested in proving anything; instead, they are working to discredit me, mislead the uninitiated, and encourage lawlessness in our community. Such offensive behaviour needs to be denounced right away.
