Dear Editor,

Several individuals are paid to use social media and the written press to attack Glenn Lall, opposition parties, and critics of the government.

One individual claims that he is not paid by the government organ, Chronicle. A check with my contacts at the Chronicle confirms no payments were issued in his name. But sources confirmed that he gets $2M monthly from a businessman who does business with the government. The businessman gets several billion dollars yearly in contracts from the state. In return, he pays the writer on behalf of the government. Indirectly, he gets paid with taxpayers money through the government contractor.

Besides penning daily unsubstantiated trash, he appears three times a week on a social media talk show. The sole purpose of the show is to discredit the opposition and critics abusing them with unconfirmed allegations. The social media program he hosts was initiated by another pro-government personality who abuses females and calls opponents of the government the worst names. That person is also known to hate and frequently attacks Glenn Lall.

The person who owns the social media platform is no serious critic of anything and can barely read and write. But he gets $3.1 M a month to host the social media programme that is located in Georgetown. The money is paid by a businessman who gets multi-billion dollars in contracts annually. In addition to the huge monthly sum paid indirectly by taxpayers through state contractors, the studio owner gets huge contracts for which he is not qualified. He never built a house and does not know what is a pump station or how to build roads. But he has received close to $2B in contracts.  He had a falling out with a major businessman. He verbally abuses anyone with whom he disagrees. He has no respect for women. The government is comfortable with him since he does its bidding.

The writer capriciously changes his stripes. He is not loyal to a cause or ideology. He is known to change political allegiance frequently. He was with all the political parties and until a few years ago was a daily critic of the PPP. Now, he is the PPP’s biggest defender and the worst detractor of AFC and PNC.

Yours truly,
P. Mann
