India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will pay a State Visit to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana from November 19 to 21, 2024. So said the Office of the President in a release. The visit, resulting from an invitation by President Irfaan Ali, the government says, underlines the historically strong relations between the two countries.

In January 2023, Ali visited the country as the Chief Guest at the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, where he was awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman.
