Johann Layne impresses with ball but emerging Ireland take the 1st  Four Day Match

West Indies Academy fell short of victory by 72 runs in the first 4-day encounter vs Emerging Ireland. Kadeem Alleyne fell agonizingly short of a maiden first-class 100 scoring 93 off 84 balls in an 151 run opening partnership with fellow opener Ackeem Auguste.

The visitors chased 344 for victory on Friday but went down for 271 runs in 56.4 overs.
