The exact date of LAYLAT UL-QADR is unknown, but it is known to fall in the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Many believe LAYLAT UL-QADR is on the 27th night of Ramadan. In 2024, this would be the night of April 5th. 2024.

The Night of Power, LAYLAT UL QADR ; also rendered as the NIGHT OF DESTINY, NIGHT of DECREE, NIGHT of DETERMINATION, or the PRECIOUS NIGHT, is, in Islamic belief, the night when Muslims believe the Quran was first sent down from heaven to the world and also the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad; it is described to be better than a thousand months of worshipping.

Church as “society’s moral compass”

During LAYAT UL QADR muslims observe, practice, and obey, TAHAJJUD ( Keeping Vigil) Night prayers, reading the QURAN ( Islamic Holy Book), making DUA (Invocation) , doing DHIKR (Worship) observing I’TIKAF (To stay in ONE place)  and giving SADAQAH ( Charity)

According to various HADITHS (collection of traditions and sayings pf the Prophet Muhammad, PBUH)  its exact date is uncertain, but it was one of the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Since that time, Muslims have regarded the last ten nights of Ramadan as being especially blessed. Muslims believe that the NIGHT OF QADR comes again every year, with blessings and mercy of God in abundance. We believe that sins are forgiven, supplications are accepted, and that the annual decree is revealed to the angels who carry it out according to God’s grace.

Reportedly and known in Saudi Arabia, are the 10 HABITS of the PROPHET MUHAMMAD, (PBUH), they are 1. An Early Riser   2. Eating LESS   3. Eating SLOWLY   4. MINDFUL Eating   5. Drinking lots of WATER    6. Eating POMEGRANTES   7. Eating FRUITS & VEGETABLES    8. Eating DATES     9. FASTING and 10. Staying ACTIVE.

Assuring You of my Highest Consideration.

Sincerely

Dr. Shamir Andrew Ally
