West Indies star Nicholas Pooran is enjoying his time in Lucknow Super Giants for sure. Pooran, who is a vital part of the LSG team, has been in good frame of mind. His love for Rajasthani cuisine, specially Daal Baati, has become so famous that he is being called by ‘Daal Baati’ by fans, the West Indian player revealed himself.

Nicholas Pooran was earlier seen having Rajasthan’s famous dish Daal Baati along with a couple of LSG teammates when they were in Rajasthan. In that video, he was heard mispronouncing the dish as ‘Dal Bhati’. Since then, he has been given the nickname ‘Dal Bhati’ by his teammates and LSG fans alike.

In a video released by LSG on their social media channels, LSG players can be seen having a groundside chat. Invariably, the chat drifts towards the Daal Baati incident.

Not Nikki P but Daal Bhati

Nicholas Pooran revealed that since the video of him having Daal Baati was shared on social media, fans have been using the name of the dish to call him.

“Everywhere I go, someone will be like ‘Nikki P, Nikki P’, and I’ll ignore them. And then they’ll be like ‘Dal Bhati’ and I’ll just start laughing,” Pooran is heard saying in the video. (insidesport)
