Inextricably Tied, GPL and the PPP Government; you get What you Vote for

In their very obvious attempts to publicly pretend that the PPP holds no responsibility for the blackouts, they conveniently overlook the undeniable truth; GPL (Guyana Power and Light) is inexorably tied to the government they fervently support and that the government they support are wholly responsible for the horrible service citizens of Guyana must endure daily.

Former Minister of Public Infrastructure, David Patterson, has eloquently dissected the root causes behind the ongoing electricity crisis. His analysis points to a systematic failure in planning, equipment quality, maintenance, and leadership within GPL. During the tenure of APNU/AFC, significant strides were made to bolster the power grid, ensuring a consistent supply of electricity to communities. However, since assuming power in 2020, the PPP government has failed to address the pressing challenges facing the power sector, leading to a regression in service quality.

The sudden surge in blackouts has sparked skepticism among the populace regarding the government’s narrative.
