CCWU Signed Three-Year Collective Labour Agreement with Demerara Mutual

The Clerical & Commercial Workers’ Union (CCWU) and Demerara Mutual signed a three-year Collective Labour Agreement 

(CLA) on Friday, March 15 @ 9:00 a.m. The signing took place at the Ministry of Labour Board Room in Brickdam, Georgetown.

In the new CLA  wages and salaries salary scale moved from $67, 400 to $80, 000 with the effect 1st January 2024.

With effect from 1st January 2024, it will be increased by 10%.

With effect from 1st January 2025, by an increment of $ 5,000.

With effect from 1st January 2026 by an increment of $ 5,000.

Allowance for lunch moved from $ 1,000 to $1,2000, and snacks from $ 400 to $ 600. Cashier Allowance has increased

from $4,000 to $5,000.

The CLA was countersigned by the Chief Labour Officer of the Ministry of Labour.
