H.W Mayor Pt. Ubraj Narine met with Mr & Mrs Haley, Chief Executive Officer and partner of The BridgeWay Firm.

The Bridgeway firm is dedicated to introducing The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to Guyana. The NCLEX, administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), is a widely recognised examination used by nursing boards in the United States to assess the competency of nursing candidates. Its introduction in Guyana reflects a commitment to aligning nursing education and licensure practices with international standards.

Mayor Narine expressed enthusiasm and support for the inclusion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) as part of the nursing licensure process in Guyana. The mayor said he recognises the importance of maintaining high standards of nursing education and competence to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the residents of Georgetown.

Furthermore, the Mayor acknowledged the efforts needed by local nursing associations, educational institutions, and regulatory bodies in facilitating this important transition. The collaboration between stakeholders would demonstrate a shared commitment to advancing the nursing profession and ultimately improving healthcare outcomes in Georgetown.
