H.W Mayor Pt. Ubraj Narine, paid a special visit to Swami Aksharananda Tuesday to honour his significant contributions to the Hindu community and to receive blessings as his tenure comes to an end.
During the visit, the Mayor presented Swami Aksharananand with a token of appreciation, a plaque of the history of the City Hall Building, recognising his exceptional efforts towards promoting peace, harmony, and spiritual enlightenment.
Swami Aksharananda, a revered spiritual leader and guiding light for countless individuals, has been instrumental in fostering a sense of unity and compassion within Georgetown. His teachings and wisdom have touched the lives of many, inspiring personal growth and well-being.
Swami Aksharananda graciously accepted the token of appreciation and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Mayor as they discussed matters affecting the Hindu communities and the people of Georgetown. Also present was Swami Bhachananada from Canada.
