New WISMAR Bridge.

With due respect, President Ali, and Minister Edgehill, needs to explain to Guyanese why the 100% increase for the NEW Wismar Bridge for the 2020, US$25 Million OFID, OPEC Fund for Economic Development potential loan to the APNU-AFC feasibility study in 2020 for NEW Wismar Bridge for USD $23.6 Million, with evidence in nineteen powerpoint slides which are with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ministry of Finance.

June 5, KN, “President Irfaan Ali on Monday praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its swift approval of a US$150 million loan that will be channeled to develop the local housing and infrastructure sectors. Meanwhile, the second aspect of the loan, pegged at US$50 million will be used to construct the Wismar Bridge to improve connectivity to relieve traffic jams. USD $100 Million for 2,500 houses.”

How in Almighty’s name the NEW WISMAR BRIDGE can move from 2020 APNU-AFC, US$25Million to 2023 PPP/C for $50 Million, with Guyanese generations to repay this loan and Interest?

https://www.kaieteurnewsonline.com/2023/06/06/president-ali-praises-saudi-govt-for-swift-approval-of-us150m-loan/

On this a few weeks ago it was reported that Wismar bridge funded by a framework agreement with Islamic Development Bank, now this week we are reading loan NOW from the Saudi Fund for Development for the same bridge???

Explanations on the truth, with details from President Ali and Minister Edgehill, are overdue on this item, another 3Fs, Families, Friends, and Favourites?

Local Government Elections on June 12, Democracy or Autocracy by PPPC?

Globally voting is a personal choice, and good practicing democracy Nations, will confirm, that, the voting season should be without financial influences, but, last week and this week’s cash grants’ distributions, contracts signings, red shirts gifts, which are all in the media, and social media, with the Guyana’s resources, especially the billions in OIL revenues, being spent by PPPC to influence the voting. The ABCEU Ambassadors, on site, may all have “buyers’ remorse” from the August 2, 2020, swearing in of the PPPC Government, they advocated to be installed.

We all remember the many court fraud charges that were dropped, soon after the PPP/C Administration was sworn in on August 2, 2020, and am told this evidence, are around and will be brought back with a new Government in 2025.

We all know with Guyana’s Billions in Oil Revenues, there is no substantive Minister of Finance, as in past years in Guyana 58th Year since May 26, 1966, Independence. We have a Senior Minister in the Office of the President, which means the President is also the substantive Minister of Finance. Evidence on Guyana at Islamic Development Bank is hereunder. Why? What is there to Hide? fear of fraud prosecutions? hoping for immunity?

IF the PPP is so popular why the many obstacles to the Elections Court Petition, almost three years? Common sense the PPPC is afraid for the court’s decision, as many believe when the Statement of Polls are presented, in the Courts, as stipulated in the Guyana Constitution, the many shortcomings will be evident, and the Esteemed Justices, may rule for NEW elections within months. No rocket science, the Guyanese population is aware of this.

The PPP since its inception is a Marxist Party to currently, and for the last six years, repeat six years, why NO PPP Congress since 2016? is this Democracy? most definitely NO.

In comparison, both the PNC and AFC parties had their Democratic elections, whilst the PPP is practicing AUTOCRACY in Government and ONE PERSON Rule in the PPP Political Party.

Quote, “Res Non Verba” = “DEEDS not WORDS.”

One person in the Diaspora, said this week “For all of Forbes Burnham’s faults he nor Cheddi Jagan was racist.  Jagdeo is a Hindu Nationalist racist to the bone. As for Burnham he had to fight colonialism white Supremacy, the black middle-class colonials, and the PPP. Look at record against the PPP 23 years. Feed. House and Clothes yourself.  Free education from kindergarten to university. Most of the Indian middle class of a certain age were and are beneficiaries. The Country today is benefiting from Burnham’s policies. Finally, more East Indians left Guyana under the PPP rule than under PNC. If I were a PNC, I would not be ashamed to tout the 28 years of P N C.”

One person in the Diaspora, said this week, “Cheddi Jagan must be rolling in his grave to know that a PPP Government is siding with the Capitalist system to deny the working people their Rights. Wow! My father loved Cheddi and used to take me to meetings to listen to him. He was a great leader.”

HUGE GUYANA DEBT at US$4.7 Billion, estimated, per details hereunder.

Ministry of Finance Report Appendix VI, for End of December 2022 was Total External Debt USD $1,571.9 Billion; Total Domestic Debt USD $2,080.6 Billion, TOTALLING US$3,652.5 Billion.

In the Ministry of Finance report External Debt is listed for Islamic Development Bank as USD $18 Million in comparison to the IsDB website, which is showing USD $236 Million as hereunder.

Saudi Fund for Development USD $150 Million with $50 Million for Wismar Bridge and USD $100 Million for 2,500 Housing units in 3 Regions.

https://www.caribbeannewsglobal.com/guyana-saudi-fund-for-development-signs-two-major-loan-agreements-worth-us150m-for-infrastructural-development/

Minister Edghill, Islamic Development Bank USD $200 Million for Linden Soesdyke Highway USD $120 Million, was previously announced. Hereunder for USD $200 Million, with WISMAR NEW Bridge means USD $80 Million for the NEW WISMAR Bridge???

Is SAUDI FUND for DEVELOPMENT and the Islamic Financing Bank BOTH FINANCING the SAME NEW Wismar Bridge?  Guyana Government needs to explain to the Nation. Double Dipping ???

https://www.stabroeknews.com/2023/05/29/news/guyana/isdb-us200m-loan-to-cover-new-wismar-mackenzie-bridge/ https://www.stabroeknews.com/2023/05/29/news/guyana/isdb-us200m-loan-to-cover-new-wismar-mackenzie-bridge/

Islamic Development Bank USD $120 Million for Linden Soesdyke Highway, as hereunder.

https://guyanatimesgy.com/us120m-isdb-loan-approved-for-resurfacing-of-soesdyke-linden-highway/ https://guyanatimesgy.com/us120m-isdb-loan-approved-for-resurfacing-of-soesdyke-linden-highway/

The Government of Guyana has applied for a loan valued at GY$134 billion (US 646 million) from The Export–Import Bank of the United States (US EXIM Bank) to fund its multi-billion Gas to Energy project.

https://our.today/guyana-borrowing-134-billion-for-gas-to-energy-project/#:~:text=The government of Guyana has,Gas-to-Energy project.

Summary per above:

TOTALLING USD $3,652.5 Billion, at END of DECEMBER 2022

  • IsDB USD $18 M versus IsDB website USD $236 Million = PLUS USD $218 Million, which should include the USD $120 Million for the Soesdyke Linden Highway
  • Saudi Fund for Development for Wismar Bridge USD $50 Million and 2,500 Housing Units USD $100 Million, TOTALING US$150 Million
  • The Export-Import Bank, for GAS to ENERGY USD $646 Million

TOTAL AS ABOVE US$4,666.5 Billion ESTIMATED

Is Guyana OVERBUILDING? biting more that it can chew, with huge SKILLS SHORTAGES?

Is the PPP Government contracting for loans like drunken sailors, on a wild ride with THE POTENTIAL FOR OIL Revenues? OR contracts for THEMSELVES Contracting Companies (known to many in Guyana) Families, Friends, and Favourites????

Guyanese are anxiously waiting for the feasibilities’ studies. What about the paybacks? will these be viable projects ? what will be the Return on Investment ?   OR are we heading for another Skeldon and Marriott FAILED projects under the PPP???

Goolsarran highlights failed China-funded projects-says little to nothing achieved but country saddled with debt. US$246 Million

QUOTE, Sir Isaac Newton, “What goes up, must come down.”
